About The Working Area

Our Vision and Our Promise
Our goal is to create and maintain well-designed websites for San Diego businesses, organizations and individuals. Working together with clients, we will create an attractive, informative and affordable website that meets or exceeds your needs, desires, and expectations. We will offer a full range of support services, including web hosting, domain name registration, desktop publishing, online tutorials, and image design in order to provide you with the best possible internet presence. We will always treat our clients with respect, operate in a professional and prompt manner, and focus on customer satisfaction. We will protect the privacy and integrity of our client’s information and the security and reliability of their website.

Our History; humble beginnings helped lay the foundation for solid programming.
In 1981, I purchased my first personal computer. Not satisfied with the limited programs available back then, my friend, Marty, and I learned Basic programming and started getting creative. My computer had an 8-bit processor, 64Kb of RAM, and no hard drive, so our programs had to fit on a "Floppy Disk!" To give you some perspective; the average flash drive (32Gb) would hold more that 62,000 times the information contained on the floppy disks of that time. we quickly learned that due to the constraints of such a limited environment, our programs had to be lean and clean. Over the years I have learned several more computing languages, but my original philosophy of "lean and clean" programming remains the guiding principle for our websites. Today, everything is hand coded, so there is no added template language to slow page loading and waste memory. We use a blend of HTML, CSS, and Javascript to create dynamic sites that look good on any browser, and PHP with MySQL ensure server-side processing that keeps everything loading quickly.

What we offer

Customer Service
Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." We believe that the measure of a company is not how well it does when customers are satisfied and business is good, but how it responds when customers are dissatisfied and mistakes have been made. Our promise to you is to not only make you happy the service we provide but keep you happy with your website as well.

Web Design
Whether you are a small start-up business, a non-profit organization, a major corporation, or just a person with an idea for a website, The Working Area has the tools and knowledge to help you achieve an online presence that will deliver the best return-on-investment in the industry. Your website not only tells the world about you, but also about us, as the architect who designed your company's site. Every page we deliver is a testament to our commitment to quality, and we are not happy until you are happy.

Search Engine Optimization
Your website may be absolutely stunning, but it will do you no good unless new customers can find you. There are customers out there, right now, that don't even know your name, but they have a need. They need the services or products that you offer. These potential customers will to go to a search engine and type in what they need. This is where Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the key. We know what the web crawlers are looking for and how to set up your website so that it will rank high in the search parameters you fit. What does this mean? It means that those prospective customers will find you faster than your competitors.

Endlessly Update Your Web Pages! The Working Area web pages are designed to allow you, the website owner, the ability to add, update, or delete content, whenever you want. Unlimited Updates!
